Statistical data from WHO, indicates that tobacco kills one person every six seconds. A third to a half of all people who use tobacco die prematurely, by an average of 15 years. Today, tobacco use causes 1 in 10 deaths among adults worldwide & more than five million people a year. By 2030, unless urgent action is taken, the death toll from tobacco will increase to more than eight million a year.
