News reaches us from the United States that Barack Obama’s administration would like to see a ban on electronic cigarettes from all Airline Flights.
Electronic cigarettes have gained a lot of popularity in recent years. Users tell us at Smart Smoker that they love the fact that they can use them wherever they want – including on flights.
However, some American politicians are concerned that e-cigarettes may be harmful. As a result they are proposing to ban e-cigs from US flights.
There is already a ban on smoking traditional cigarettes on planes. It’s believed that an outlaw on both traditional and electronic cigarettes would stop any confusion for airline staff and allow all passemgers to travel in comfort.
Electronic cigarettes are a smart alternative to a traditional cigarette. They have the same cigarette taste, providing users with a nicotine boost, but completely ‘smokeless’.
Smart Smoker Spain Launches
Seems that Smart Smoker is on a roll! Not moments after signing a deal with our Irish distributors we find ourselves flying over to Spain to sign up our Spanish distributors in the South of Spain.
The Spanish license trade has been heavily affected by the Smoking Ban and the Smart Smoker Electronic Cigarette promises to help ease the pain felt by many pubs, clubs and bars. Our contact in Spain, an ex-patriate from London, shares our enthusiasm for the electronic cigarettes and our Spanish team is ready to launch the product with Radio Advertising and hopefully a presence in a well known Supermarket, more to follow soon!
The Spanish distributors (www.smartsmoker.es) will be focussing on the ex-patriate population (of which many are feeling the squeeze at the moment due to the weakness of the £) and will then be targeting the wider market with leads already generated for hundreds of sales per month!
Smokers to Smoke Again using the Electronic Cigarette
December and January were incredibly busy here at Smart Smoker. We have had literally hundreds of enquiries from both companies and individuals who wish to sell or distribute our electronic cigarettes.
Our first international distirbutor can now be found at www.smartsmoker.ie. Our Irish counterparts will be marketing our e-cigs to both the public and the retail/license trade. We have already seen an increase in interest from the Irish market as a direct resut of our deal with Smart Smoker Ireland.
In March 2004 Ireland became the first country in the world to impose an outright ban on smoking in workplaces and public places so it seemed a natural place to offer our electronic cigarettes where smokers can use a healthier alternative in ANY situation!
